TEMPS Out of School Club is delighted to announce that, thanks to the incredibly generous donation from Mr. Mulkh Mehta, Director at Maelor Foods, Wrexham, we are able to carry out vital improvements to our two outdoor classrooms.
As a registered charity, TEMPS provides flexible and affordable childcare for children aged 3–14 years, and these improvements will make a real difference to the quality of facilities available to both our club and the wider school community.
1. Replacement Roof – Small Outdoor Classroom
Maelor Foods have kindly funded a new Tapco tiled roof for our small outdoor classroom, complete with a manufacturer’s guarantee of at least 20 years (with potential longevity of up to 50 years).
This vital improvement ensures the building is fully weatherproof and fit for use all year round. It will also increase the number of children we can accommodate at our Holiday Club, as the current mobile is only registered for 24 children. The school will also benefit from this facility during term time.
2. Weatherproofing – Large Outdoor Classroom
Although the roof of our large outdoor classroom is structurally sound, open window areas and gable ends have limited its use in poor weather.
Following discussions with local contractors, and with the support of Maelor Foods, we will now install Perspex/Polycarbonate panels to provide shelter and protect children in all conditions. This will ensure the classroom can be used effectively throughout the year by both the school and TEMPS — including during term time, holiday clubs, training days, and after school sessions.
Our Thanks
Without the generosity of Maelor Foods, TEMPS would not have been able to fund these much-needed repairs and improvements. We are truly grateful for their commitment to supporting children and families within our community.
This contribution will have a lasting impact, ensuring that children at TEMPS and The Rofft School can enjoy safe, high-quality, and weatherproof facilities for years to come.
On behalf of our staff, parents, and most importantly the children — thank you, Maelor Foods!
